Most SWLS members gave "Because You Left" a rating of a 9. Bambi started things off stating, "there were so many gasp moments." She really thought Daniel stole the episode. Sweet Old Lady followed suit calling it "very exciting". A 9 from Sweet Old Lady is impressive, she is a very strong grader. Asmodean went a step farther with his declaration that " it was the best season opener out of all, so far." Laklost had some unique insight. She thought "Holy Crap, that is some scary junk!" Time travel must freak her out!! The only thing stopping Madam P from giving it a rating of a 10 was that Sawyer found a shirt, so it was down graded to a 9.

Not everyone was as enthused. MangoBingo disagrees with Bambi thinking, "it never had a OMG moment". Ladybug agrees because she did not find any interesting "easter eggs". She "likes hidden surprises" and found the 8:15 on the clock and the number on the meat counter to obvious for her.

"The Lie" ratings turned into a Hurley love fest. Many members specifically picked out Jorge Garcia job acting during this episode. The touching moment between Hurley and his mother was mentioned often. Hurley explaining the truth to his mom was funny and touching, especially when his mom told him she believed him. Hurley has always wanted someone to believe him. Also the seen with Hurley throwing the Hot Pocket at Ben was noted. It was pure Hurley and hilarious. Bambi agrees calling this episode "one of the funniest of Lost episodes". Asomodean, Razzledazzle and myself all agree that Hurley carried this episode with humor, sensitivity and Hurley just being Hurley.

My only complaint was that this episode followed "Because You Left". I did not feel that it had a good flow as back-to-back episodes. I wish they would of waited and aired it as a stand alone showing. Ladybug agrees that Hurley episodes have "a different vibe" than other episodes. It is a small complaint. HurleyRocksDude's summed it up perfectly with his conclusion that "Hurley rocks dude!" I can not argue with that!!!
