Spoilers: New Book, Episode Name, and other reveals

Lost Book clubFor those of you not aware, the most recent Lost ARG ended with those who participated getting a chance to be sent special emails from Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, with access to season 5 secrets from Lost, 48 hours before the information is released openly. Tonight the third such email appeared, and with it, 3 slightly spoilerish pieces of information including: the name of a new book featured in season 5, episode 7; the name of that episode; and finally, there is one last image that is provided, which I won't reveal on the front page out of respect to those who want to avoid such information.

See images and get more information after the jump. The items in this article should be considered spoilers and viewed at your discretion.

Ulysses by James Joyce

After mentioning the Lost Book Club site, Damon shows us the book Ulysses, by James Joyce, and says that we will get to see Ben reading this book in episode 5x7. He then gives us the second bit of information that the title of that episode will be called 316. Finally, he reads an excerpt from page 316 of the book. What he reads is this:

"So off they started about Irish sport and shoneen games the like of lawn tennis and about hurley and putting the stone and racy of the soil and building up a nation once again and all of that"
After reading the passage Damon comments, "Coincidence?" talking about the mention of Hurley, to which he then responds, "Absolutely."

Carlton then mentions that they "admire greatly" the book The Stand by Stephen King, but they aren't very clear on whether The Stand is a book featured in Season 5. Personally, I don't think that they meant that it would be, but that doesn't mean that it isn't a clue.

The final and best part is in a split second frame at the end of the video a new, unseen, dharma station logo is revealed. The image shown is below.

So let's hear some ideas of this stations possible name? The Ax? The Lighthouse? What else?

Now watch the video for yourself!

I meant I may have been playing the video in the background while I was doing something else, but thanks for the clarification. I'll have to look again.

Actually Bob, the new dharma symbol was at the very end, after Damon and Carlton are done talking, and it just flashes it for a split second.

I do really like "The Beacon" but I see that picture and think more along the lines of watchtower. But we shall see. The funny thing is that I get these e-mails too, and I didn't even notice that. Might have been playing it in the background or something.

How bout "The Beacon"?

AstroJones said:

Oooh, good thought Tony. They did mention that there were at least two reasons for the title 316.

tonysee200x said:

Why 316? Do you think that relate to the compass setting to get back to the island?

"Calling the O6 home" - that brung a tear to me eye. How funny were Darlton sitting holding all those books?

Thanks for the article, Astro.

Good stuff Astro,

Beacon sounds good to me. It will be calling the O6 home.

The beacon just sounds right... doesn't it?

I actually read on another lost board last night that a lot of people are calling this station The Beacon (which I didn't know when I suggested that name last night). The popular theory going around so far is that Ben and the O6 are going to have to somehow use The Beacon station to find the island again. Or something like that.

Maybe... the Fence?

Sorry, thought of another one...The Beacon.
