Anyone seen the alternative endings for the finale? They make Katbriil's comments about the letters on the wall spelling Hulme and Locke very interesting!

Why is the E backwards? The letter T casts a clear shadow indicating they are 3d rather ran stickers, so why do the O and the K manage wrap around the interior corner without puckering or deforming in some way as you'd expect from a thick shape? In my opinion they were added digitally afterwards, so definitely signalling something to us :)

The letters could also be an incorrect spelling of Toomey (Toumey) as in Sam Toomey - the original finder of the Numbers. Also, isn't that Lenny sitting at the back table? And finally, is there any meaning in the H K and 7 - maybe Kevin or Heaven?

I don't think the painting is meant to depict an underwater island; I think it's just done in perspective--island in the foreground, ship sailing in the background. The artist got lazy and just didn't finish the water.

That's right ashaver! I wonder if the time/space experiments performed by Dharma relied on the same heading that was being used to gain access to/from the island by air/boat. Likewise, when the island spit Ben out, that's why he ended up in the same vicinity as the dead polar bear. I.e., perhaps Tunisia is on that heading from the island.

So if Ben wears that parka and gets transported to the desert... and they found a Dharma Polar Bear in the desert.... then the polar bear was transmitted by similar means perhaps? perhaps that space-time displacement thing?

Also, Hippoeki mentioned the drawing of the boat in the background. If you look at the screen cap, there is an island UNDER the water that the boat is floating on.

Additionally, the "boat" doesn't have any sails attached to the mast. Could this "boat" be a representation of the lifeboat that the Oceanic 6 washed up in? The lifeboat was round and deep, and had a mast with a beacon on top of it.

Is there a screen cap of the lifeboat from the helicopter? Specifically, when Penny's boat picked them up you can see the lifeboat shape and features more clearly.

What I don't get is why they make the rec room look like a pre-school. This place seems to be for adults. Why the letters? The flowers and butterflies I understand. Maybe a class of kids made them to help brighten their days, but why the letters? Weird
