4x11: Keamy's Gear

4x11_keamy_gear_01.jpgAfter General Keamy broke out the Dharma Plan B workbook he was seen getting a strange XM radio pack strapped to his arm by the doc. We saw the same transmitter looking thing again on the deck (so obviously its important for us to notice this thing). So why exactly does Keamy need XM radio on the island?

Sorry, remote detonator.

I guess we can assume now that it is a remote transmitter due to the unusually large amount of explosives on the boat.

It looks like a heart rate monitor transmitter to me.

whats the thing on his chest?

I don't know what the device is...but I do know that this Keamy has a body like mortal sin. Who cares if he's evil...I'm gonna see if I can use him for my screensaver.

It most probably is not just for medical reasons because wasn't it one of the other military guys who put it on him and not the doctor? It must be a fail safe way for him to survive and the only bargaining chip with the people of the island and/or the boat.

Could be a key for the orchid station, or directional link for radioo signal for when they find it. Remember widmore is looking for it.

They could use that a negotiation tool.

i thought it was some sort of bomb at first, but, in the second picture, doesn't it look like a GPS turn-by-turn navigation thingy on the screen?

Here's a question: If the doctor showed up dead on the island before he was dead, and the thing on Keamy's arm will blow up the island if his heart stops, then would the island blow up before he is actually killed?

I agree with Anubis . . . the device must be some type of bomb trigger or something. I can't stand Keamy!!! Just let the bomb blow him up already!!

I kinda figured it was something simple like a remote connected to the bombs so if he dies, heart stops, then the bombs automatically go off. If it had something to do with the Orchid station then why the warning to the Captain about shooting? If it is a remote linked to Keamy's health status then shooting him would have caused the bombs to go off and blow up the boat killing all of them. Seems like a pretty good fail safe. Get the bombs on the island and then if Keamy goes then everyone goes. As usual thou, I'm probably wrong!

or it could have something to do with the time travel, since that is definatly what is going on (as evidenced by the transmission of the doctor being dead before he was killed)

If they were reading from the orchid manual, and widmore had access to the original Dharma research of the station and it's workings.. then it stands to reason that they were ableto build a remote device to interface with the station to prevent it from "moving" the island. I think that is why the helicopter over shot the beach, because they are headed right to the orchid.

i dont know what it is..

this is some crazy stuff said:

I think it is a pulse tester and if his pulse stops then something is going to blow up.
