What's Hot: Lost Negotiating for 14th Episode This Season
According to Ask Ausiello, Team Dalton is in negotiations with ABC to produce an additional hour of Lost this season. This is not close to a done deal, but the possibility is very exciting!! There are plenty of scheduling conflicts that could sideline this proposal before it gets off the ground. The schedule is set for Lost to start on April 24th and end with a night of finales of Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy. So would this postpone the season finale one week or do the put it on a different night. Could we get two hours in one week!! This could get us closer to the original idea they had for this season and give us a more complete season 4. We will update you here at SWLS as this story develops.

Holy email onslaught!
So many of you have written in after seeing Michael Ausiello's post about the possibility of a fourteenth hour of Lost this season, I feel I should respond before you hunt me down with pitchforks. (Just kidding. You know I share your obsession—in fact, I see your obsession and I raise it!)
Truth told, I heard the news last night that Lost's producers met with ABC about the extra hour; however, I was told by inside sources it was "much too early to report," since the pitch meeting just happened yesterday and since ABC has not yet had a chance to respond. I was asked to hold off since my sources didn't want the fans to be disappointed if the extra hour didn't end up happening.
That said, please don't shoot the TV Diva if this doesn't end up going down, but in case it's of any help to you, here's what my well-connected insiders say about where things stand:
* It is looking "highly likely" (yay!) that there will be an additional hour of Lost for season four, for a total of six hours coming up in the spring run, starting April 24.
* Producers pitched the idea of a two-hour finale to ABC, and if they end up getting an extra hour but it is not to extend the finale, well...that could be messy.
* The sense among insiders is that ABC execs very much want to make this happen, but like I said, they have not yet had a chance to respond. Fingers crossed they will soon and it'll be the right (i.e., "yes" decision!
You'll know more when I do. In the meantime, keep your pants on, your nose clean and April 24 circled in glitter on your calendar. And if you're feeling frisky, post your hopes for Lost's spring run below!
They don't do a 2 hour finale because apparently other shows are more important, i.e. gray's anatomy. Also, when the show comes back it's going to be at 10 o'clock for the remainder of this season once again due to grey's anatomy, and finally the title of the next episode is (spaces for possible spoiler)

My 2 negative thoughts...
They are not happy with the way episode 13 is finalizing and it would be a bad way to end an already busted up season. It needs to leave us wanting more come 9 months from the last episode.
They are still going to try and sell it as an entire season dvd package without a discount.
My positive thoughts...
It makes the wait shorter by one week.
It also means we are getting closer to figuring this shine dig out!
I almost wish I hadn't read this article. Now I'm going to be obsessing over this until an official announcement is made.
Only 13 days to go until the next episode. Do we know the title of the episode, and what time it will air? I'm hoping it's at 9:00 central time, so I can watch The Office before gettin' my Lost on.

Ive always wandered why they dont ever do a two hour season finale episode. Seems like that would be awesome. I know I would not mine being up until 11 watching Lost. The only thing it would do is give me less time on the site

This is fantastic news. I have wondered what they would be able to pull off once the production team was all back in place. Those people are magicians as it is. They can pull one more rabbit out of the hat (ha ha!).
