4x08: Meet Kevin Johnson

03202008a.jpgLast week, in episode 4x07, Ji Yeon, we received plenty of reveals, including Jin's eminent death (maybe), Sun getting off of the island as part of the Oceanic 6, as well as her safely having her and Jin's baby. But it is the final reveal of the episode that will lead us into this week's fantastic looking installment, Meet Kevin Johnson. Last week, just before the credits rolled, we finally got a glimpse of Michael, who's posing as a janitor on the freighter and was referred to by the Captain as Kevin Johnson. But just who Kevin Johnson is, we don't yet know, nor do we know any other details about what Michael has been through since leaving the island at the end of season 2. And although this episode will un-doubtably fill in many juicy details we've probably been dying to know, there is no doubt in my mind that it will also create even more questions. This is nothing new, but Meet Kevin Johnson comes on the eve of a five week hiatus of the show. It appears that we will have plenty to talk about.

The rest of this article may contain spoilers on tonight's episode.

Sayid confronts Ben's spy on the freighter, and Ben urges daughter Alex to flee Locke's camp in order to survive an impending attack. Guest starring are Cynthia Watros as Libby, M.C. I think that it's Michael in the coffin after he hangs himself. That's why no one went to his funeral except Jack who is clinging to anything island related.

i disagree because the funeral was held in California and Michael lives in NYC

When Ben talks to Michael and tells him to make a list could that possibly be a list of the "Oceanic 6"? Could Michael be the one to choose who leaves the island and who doesn't? Or was that list supposed to be of the people who are on the boat? Any thoughts?

baroom1717, I agree. That was a very weak episode. Are we to believe Michael and Walt, in a little dingy type boat went from somewhere in the pacific to New York? and if they were rescued, didnt the rescuers wonder where they came from? I also found Michaels "reason" for boarding the freighter a little far fetched. He was so consumed by guilt of killing libby that he goes on a freighter to murder 30 complete strangers at the order of someone who kidnapped his son and tried to kill him before? and why now does he care so much about Jack and all the others?

re: I'm still saying that Aaron counts.

At the end of the episode they made the comment about us now knowing who the Oceanic 6 were, and they flashed thru them. Aaron was one of the flashes. Aaron is definately one of the Oceanic 6. ( I feel a little robbed because of this)

Secondly, there is one question nobody is asking that we were 'supposed' to find out last night. How did Michael and Walt get off the island? It completely skipped from, "Here is a boat. Follow these coordinates to rescue" to them in NYC. What happened in between? What rescue? Who picked them up? Who did they say they were? How did they get back to NYC? How are they able to live with fake identities and no fake paperwork?
All questions I still want answered. Not, how many times to we get to see Michael try and off himself!

Hmm.. he said "I'm here to die."

Could this mean that in order to get Walt off the island, for some reason Michael must stay in the island/freighter area?

I mean.. unless Aaron counts, we were still only given 5 of the Oceanic Six so far, so it's something to think about.

this is some crazy stuff said:

but it also could be a flashback like the other 48 days and will start with Michael shooting her or something. That would be dull I wanna see her more involved
