An apology to the scribes....according to everything I see lately Michael will be back at least to the end of the this season..."so who is dieing this week" and will see what happens to make Michael a willing pawn again to their Hero Ben!

Oh totally, I am dying for the Michael-Flashes episode, bring it on! It's gonna be super juicy.

Walt isn't dead, he is hanging with Richard and Mr.Friendly, maybe even Jacob. A Michael flashback will reveal what went down I hope.

I agree that Walt isnt dead.. I dont know why that is even in question. When Shannon saw Walt in the woods he wasnt dead.. he was actually trying to help her, she was just an idiot. So then he helped Locke, so yet again.. Walt is a savior. I think he will be a HUGE part throughout the seasons. He did have special powers that the creators never returned to. So hopefully they didnt forget that part of the story. As for Michael, I dont think it's that bad of an idea to have him on the boat, it's kinda exciting to see him back. I think it's hilarious that people are mad at his return. I cant wait to see how this all pans out.

Passenger-WHY said:

Now you see him...and now you won't...at least not after next week's episode...because as Mr. Voice Over so ominousily tells us one of the these survivors won't survive and gosh golly gee who could that possible be? My money is on these ever so clever scribes doing the tried but true bad bad Michael will redeem himself by dieing in order to help his fellow Losties...excuse for me a second while wretch my guts out...well it's just a thought...

"Walt is dead. The smoke monster always takes the form of dead people, like Jacks father, Boone etc. That is how he was able to appear to Locke"

correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not quite as on-the-ball as you guys...

... but Walt doesn't have to necessarily be dead to "appear" on the island (i.e. when he spoke to Locke). remember, walt "appeared" once before back when he had been kidnapped off the raft and taken captive by the others. he appeared then, speaking to shannon dripping wet and whispering, etc...

so, as far as i know, walt doesn't have to be dead to have made an appearance to Locke (whether smokey or not).

that aside, i don't believe Walt's dead, i actually believ he'll somehow end up key to the plot later. he was too special! :)

my guess is that he's probably back on the island by now being cared for by the others while Michael works for Ben on the boat... he may be on the boat with him, but that would make it awfully hard for Michael to work under cover. big risk!

Oh hoodle haddle. We all saw Mikey's name in the beginning credits since the first episode of this season. I don't buy the whole 'yes but he was a regular' bit. We all knew he'd be in this season. As far as being Kevin Johnson, well. I'm a little confused to how this will all work out... but am ofcourse interested and eager for more Lost!

I don't know why everyone is so confused regarding WHY michael is back, I am pretty sure he is back for the rest of the survivors, I remember he promised his son, Walt, that they would come back to rescue the rest of them, and I think thats what he is doing, probably he knows something that we don't know yet which is why he is working for Ben, probably, he is not even working for Ben, I mean, who knows!! everyone who thinks he doesn't remember Sayid and Desmond I want to say that he was trying to make sure that he didn't give away any clue to the Doc, hugging or kissing Sayid would've made the Doc suspicious(Duh!)..

LostinLock said:

Okay- just because we saw Michael and Walt head into the sunset, doesn't mean that the coordinates he was provided brought him to another part of the island where he gets on the sub and it is brought somewhere else. We have that missing variable.
Darn right he is Ben's man. No one has to know who he is remember the 815's were all found at the bottom of the ocean, ergo Kevin Johnson.
Michael killed for his son and brought our beloved friends to BEN.
I am sure there are flashes (not hot) to fill in the questions of the day!
Also remember one other thing Walt never wanted to leave the island...soooooo

timbuktu: If this is what you are referring to:

Michael. I think heading 325 sent Mike and Walt backwards in time just proir to the crash with their 2004 conscious mind. This allows them not to appear on the flight manifest and to be recruited by Ben's people. All under the guise of getting his "friends" off the Island.

I like the idea of it, but don't buy it because if that was done than Michael would not have recognized Sayid and Desmond, he wouldn't even know them, nor would he have been wearing his hood or glasses.

AldyLOST said:

I dont think Michael is Ben's spy on the boat. There has to be someone else, otherwise, how would Michael get in contact with Ben, or vise versa?

timbuktu said:

Well, after reading this theory http://lost.cubit.net/forum/index.php?topic=7489.msg364531#msg364531 on the forum, I got much more appeased. Maybe the bearing to which ben directed him and walt DID sent him into a time paradox where he would not even have been in the O815. Until now, such paradoxes that arised from desmond journeys through spacetime have been conveniently pushed away by faraday´s bad memory explanation.

LostintheMatrix said:

He would travel in time, but more like teleport....

CORRECTION would-not travel in time...

LostintheMatrix said:

Does anyone remember Desmond asking Sayid about the constant banging noise( 2 bangs then 1 bang in repetition), while they were in the medical room? Sayid said it was not a mechanical sound... I'm guessing that its Walt. I doubt that Michael would allow Walt to be taken again, but if they are holding him hostage....? For what purpose... i dont know. But its a thought.

Plus... Walt may have the ability to travel with his conscienceness (?), which would make him unique. He would travel in time, but more like teleport....

LOST overload...sorry :)

BrianisLOST said:

We can only hope that a Michael flashback from the point of him leaving the dock comes in to play. I am assuming they might be next week as the previews show Sayid slamming him up against something asking him to start with how he got on the boat.

timbuktu said:

Very weird, in my opinion. I can´t buy this michaels´s comeback as ben´s spy in widmore´s boat. He looked a little different alright, but i find a little har to believe that, widmore or else, whoever is on that boat wouldn´t have noticed that their janitor was a passenger of flight 815.

Does anyone think that whatever Ben told Michael to get him to work for him is also gonna work for Sayid?

Looks much better too.

Did he just pull up next to the freighter one day and say " Hey, you guys need a janitor?"

Holy sh** Brian that made me laugh.

You think they even made it "home" before Walt was taken again? I think Walt is on the island as well. I just wonder if they took him 10 minutes after Michael sailed away or if it happened after they got back.

BrianisLOST said:

I don't think Walt is dead. I think that he is being held captive and is with Richard and the rest of the others and that's how Ben has Michael as his spy. I know Michael and Walt sailed off together that day on the dock, but i'm sure in a flashback for Michael it will be revealed what happened to re capture them. The only question is how did Michael become a spy? Did he just pull up next to the freighter one day and say " Hey, you guys need a janitor?"

thebleach said:

It takes an even bigger man to admit he is a big man for admitting he was wrong.

I think Michael had that look on his face because he thought Sayid might get him in a Republican Guard death hold right then and there.

From next weeks previews, it would seem that they still have Walt?

beanblog said:

I totally called it!
Just kidding...

So now the question is - why is Mike working for Ben? Did Ben put him in the brainwashing room and make him into an abiding servant? Did he use a very convincing argument to bring Mike to his side? Could Ben still have Walt?

For the past few weeks, I thought the spoilers episode titles for this season listed ep 8 as "Meet Kelvin Johnson" - so I thought it would be a Des/Kelvin-centric episode... Guess I was wrong!

I was wrong, I thought it was going to be Walt. It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong.

BrianisLOST is right. Anyone that posts stuff about Lost online has read about Michael coming back for weeks. People were speculating Michael's return on the boat since Naomi parachuted onto the island last season.

Let's all stop pretending we "called" this after last week's preview.

I think we all suspected this. It was pretty obvious to most LOST fans.

"Maybe it is that weird Island time vs. Real time thing"

or maybe its just that pesky, been 3 actual years thing since we've seen him. I don't believe this was planned by the creators. The actor originally wanted off to do movies. Now they've written him back

Haha. I'm gonna jump in on the "I WAS RIGHT" band wagon! =)

I'm pretty sure the reason why Michael appeared not to recognize Sayid and Desmond was just because he didn't want the doc to know that he recognized them - would kind of blow his cover as Ben's spy (if that's what he is) if he gave Sayid a big hug and said "Long time, no see!" :-)

koolkat23 said:

I called this one a long time ago. Given he opened the door for them, he seems to know who they are - however - he did have quite a blank stare like he was on drugs or maybe suffering from cabin fever.

Maybe he wonders where his son is?? God knows what lies or mental manipulation Ben has over him. He wasn't the most stable guy when he left... or before he even crashed.

Will have an investigation on this, but for those of you who may still be confused, all of Jin's flashes were flashbacks to the year 2000, before the plane crash. All of Sun's flashes were to the future, about August or so of 2005.

Wow!! today's episode was brilliant, as usual more questions than answers!! what the bloody hell was up with jin and sun and the flash forwards!!
