I didn't even think of that before, but I think I'm with you that it was Smokey. Afterall, we always hear the whispers right before he shows up in one form or another.
I don't think it was Harper telling Juliet to take out the freighters. I think it was smokey. I think Ben had nothing to do with that.
explorer-I was thinking the same thing when all my friends were reacting to that.

Yeah... I'm personally still waiting to see this temple. I'm also interested in finding out exactly why the Dharma Initiative would have needed to cleanse the entire island... obviously it was a bit of a liability.

Didn't Ben tell the "Others" to go to the Tempest? So where are they? Why weren't they defending it?
Sorry but yet another station that is still "operative" to a degree.
What is most interesting is that these folks knew who Juliette is! There was a strong degree of familiarity with all of them.
Point here is Ben is on and off that Island...so being who he is he doesn't have one exit door that man has to have another stage door left there because!
Charlotte and Daniel are there obviously to render Ben inoperable...and someone who knows Dharma has to be giving them information.
I don't know that we have enough information at this point to figure out where it is on the blast door map.
At what position would the Tempest be on the Blast Door Map?
Actually a very cheesy Star Trek-looking set, but that's OK.
