What's Hot: 4x04: More Books
There are two books seen on episode 4x04, "Eggtown". The first one, a book that Locke takes to Ben from Ben's own bookshelf, is "Valis", by Philip K. Dick.
The book Sawyer is reading ("The Invention of Morel"), however, is even more interesting. The plot synopsis reads as follows:
"A fugitive hides on a deserted island somewhere in Polynesia. Tourists arrive, and his fear of being discovered becomes a mixed emotion when he falls in love with one of them. He wants to tell her his feelings, but an anomalous phenomenon keeps them apart."

Can't believe people actually noticed the cover/title of the book, when Sawyer is sitting there in bed all shirtless and adorable with glasses.
Book? What book? There was a book? LOL!
Ha! Got it: the book to the right of The Sheltering Sky is:
Dune Messiah [by] Frank Herbert
It looks like the Arthur C. Clarke book is Childhood's End. Also up there (thing white spine) is The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams. What's stumping me is, what's there between Valis and The Sheltering Sky? Eventually it'll jump out at me...
I just bought that same edition of The Invention of Morel on Amazon for about ten bucks. My local libraries don't seem to carry it, so I broke down and bought it. (The Wikipedia entry for it mentions that Myst and Lost fans also enjoy it, so I figure since I'm a Myst and a Lost fan myself, I've got to read this thing!)
The one book on the shelf "The Sheltering Sky" is about a couple who travels to North Africa...we saw a scene in Tunisia. Just a coincidence :)
In between 'Valis' and 'The Sheltering Sky' is 'The Glass Menagerie' by Tennessee Williams.
Directly behind Valis, there seems to be a book titled 'Ficcio'... which is Spanish for Fiction.
I just read in usa today's pop candy forum that Michael was in the courtroom; can you blow up that image?
They've got Valis up there next to " The Sheltering Sky" and an Arthur C CLarke novel....
