What's Hot: 4x03: Ben's Secret Playhouse
In Season 4, episode 3 of LOST (The Economist), Sayid takes interest in zombie-Naomi's jewelry. In particular, a bracelet on her wrist, which bears an inscription from "R.G." -- exactly who it's from, we aren't sure. Interestingly, later in the same episode, we discover a similar bracelet on Elsa, the girl Sayid Bond is using to find his next target. Does this mean that Ben and Sayid are working against Michael Abaddon and his team? To protect the 815ers? Click the continue reading link to get a closer look.

oh that was "my theory" as in I agree with Madam P
Simple explination for the N.
Sayid clearly had a strong reaction to this mystery bracelet. My theory is that he had given this bracelet to Nadia... N. Seems simple enough.
Maybe as the series progresses we will see the connection between Nadia and Nayomi. I don't think it has to do with the boat.
Possibly: Sayid --> Desmond --> Penny --> Nadia
Naomi --> Penny --> Desmond --> Sayid
My first thought when I saw the bracelet on Naomi and saw Sayid's reaction was that the "N" stood for Nadia, and that Sayid was wondering what the heck Naomi was doing with Nadia's bracelet. Nadia and Naomi could be from the same ethnic background, and the voice from the ship (supposedly Regina) sounds like it could possibly be Nadia. Anyway, that's why I thought Sayid was so anxious to get to the boat.
The bracelets look exactly the same to me.
I also thought the "sentiment" engraved had more of a sinister tone than an sweet one. I'm thinking it's kind of like Voldemort's Dark Mark -- a reminder that yes, you're a member of The Club and working for me, but I WILL catch you if you betray me. I think Ilsa's boss and Naomi's boss are one and the same, and I'd possibly throw Nadia in that crowd as well.
I don't know if this has already been said somewhere else.... "I'll always be with you" sounds sweet at first- but what if it is more of a threat? RG gives these bracelets to those who are indebted to him as a reminder to carry out his evil wishes....
is it not some sort of dingbat. e.g SPA lost CE (lost in space)
N ill always be with you RG (i always be with you in energy?
as in life after death?
this may be irrelevant but i think a band called NRG had a song called flight 817. i know its not 815 but its a bit strange.
HH
i'm leaning towards republican guard.
I think the N is for Naomi and the RG is still unknown... but I find the "I'll always be with you" part more intresting, which could imply a possible tracking or listening device is implanted in the bracelet.
Bob, I was thinking it's either that connection or it's someone who he's had contact with before that he has a vendetta against. He was very adamant about getting to that boat once he saw the bracelet on Naomi.
LostAndProFound-You might want to check out the scenes with Sayid and Nadia. Perhaps the "N" is for Nadia.
It COULD be Regina if her last name began with G, but I doubt it. Why?
First of all, Frank, Dan, Miles, etc have said that they weren't exceptionally close to each other. Why would this change with Gina?
IS it possible that the R.G. stands for Republic Guard???
I don't think "R.G." stands for "ReGina", here's why:
1) The periods imply that the "R.G." are initials, and people don't tend to use initials to represent a one-word first name. For instance, someone named "Melinda" would probably not nickname herself "M.L." unless her middle or last name started with an "L".
2) Even if "Regina" was actually spelled with the "G" capitalized, it would be so unusual and such as stretch, that it just would have made more sense for the writers to choose a name/initials combo that made more sense... like "Mary Jane"/"M.J."
3) I'm not really clear on how anyone can look at the caps of those bracelets and argue that they are not the same. They are clearly identical. If you look very carefully at Elsa's bracelet, just below that little cutout section you'll see the little round bit (that looks like a screw head without a slot) just like on Naomi's bracelet. If they're not identical, why bother putting "similar" bracelets on the actresses and then making a big deal out of them?
That said, we know that Regina (who IS Zoe Bell, according to TV.com) and Elsa are two different people, so if Regina and Naomi were sisters Naomi's braclet was a gift from "R.G." aka her sister "ReGina", then why would Elsa have one just like it?
Again, the effort it would take to make that make sense is more trouble than the writers would bother with when they could just write something simple, like the bracelets signifying that they work for the same person (or something).
Occam's razor and all that, you know. ;)

Here's what I'm most curious about and it's really not being talked about is Sayid's reaction when seeing the bracelet on Naomi. As soon as he sees it, he is DETERMINED to get on that boat.
So what does Sayid ALREADY know about that bracelet when on the island? To me, I don't see the big deal that Elsa was wearing it since he's already familiar w/the bracelet and that's 'old news' in a sense...but how does he know it's significance NOW when on the island?
Copper bracelets, giving energy, N (I'll always be with you) RG, NRG/Energy (?) ~ a good find?
There is a good view of Elsa's bracelet a few seconds before Sayid helps her to put on a necklace (before they leave for the opera). I think that her bracelet does appear to have the same sort of ridges/holes as Naomi's. Also, the fact that she has it on in other scenes means that Sayid must have noticed/recognized it.
Additionally, the fact that Elsa seems capable enough with a gun to intentionally wound a person but not kill him makes me believe that she has been well trained. Naomi was also apparently some sort of mercenary, as she was hired to protect the team from the boat. Between the bracelets and their similar skills, I would say it's likely that they belonged to the same organization (whatever that is...).
I think it is "Regina" from the freighter.
It may sound silly, but since "N" is all they use for Naomi's name, is it possible "RG" stands for ReGina?
I also think that Regina is Zoe Bell. (most famous for being Uma Thurman's Kill Bill stunt double, and a lead in Death Proof)
They've credited her in the past two episodes as being a guest star, and that voice and New Zealand accent are unmistakably hers.
I stand corrected,
Blew up the cap and can see a very faint mark,
guess it is R.G.
I agree with the thicker on the bottom but I dont see any mark above the thicker portion,
nah, the bottom of the c is thicker and it has a mark above it.
Still looks like R.C. to me,
RG could be Republican Guard.
N you would think was Naomi. He seemed really eager to get to the boat after reading it, he must of seen one before
It's not the same bracelet BUT I think it def. makes them connected some how. "They" do this stuff for a reason.
I think they're the same. And I think she only put it on after she shot him, when she was on the phone in the other room (otherwise Sayid would have noticed it long before...)
The most annoying thing to me is :
What does the letter N before the ``ill always be with you`` mean ? Is it the N from Naomi ? and if it is, .. why don`t mention her last name? do we even know her last name ?
I agree with thebeann, they look different, but they were definitely supposed to be noted for a reason we will find out about later.
Also, fellow lostfan(chrim), I don't think the R will turn out to be Regina on the boat, but if it is, she's a friend (or more) but not her sister. Miles was clear that Naomi mentioned her sister as a code because she doesn't have one.
I think the bracelets are the same and agree with thebeann that Naomi and Elsa worked for the same people. Could the bald black dude be R.G.? or could the R stand for Richard?
Even though they may be different, I think the fact that there was focus on both suggests that there is a link. Maybe Naomi worked for the same people Elsa works for.
It definately said R.G. Funny, the girl on the boat that Dan was talking to was named Regina and she sounded exactly like Naomi. Maybe Noami does have a sister after all. Could be who the bracelet was from.
I see R.C. not R.G...............
They don't look like the same kind of bracelet to me. Naomi's is similar to the Cartier Love Bracelet, but Elsa's have what looks like a coiled decoration around the outside with a clasp? Not sure, but to me, they don't look the same.
this picture is really tiny!
