What's Hot: 4x04: Aaron's Room
"Confirmed Dead", the second episode of the fourth season of LOST on ABC, seems to hold a big easter egg (at least potentially). In a flashback, Miles visits Ms. Gardner to do some ghostbusting (Who you gonna call? ... Miles?). Inside the house, we several photos on the walls, but one photo stands out as being different than all of the rest of them. It looks like it could have been taken outside, like outside in Africa! The photo of this boy shows up in 3 different places during the scene, obviously showing its importance. The photo appears in at least two different frames downstairs, and a shot from upstairs seems to show a third framing of the photo.
The resemblance, between Eko as a boy and the boy in the picture is certainly very close, and could indeed be the same person. But this raises many new questions as to why a picture of a boy who grew up in Nigeria and never stepped foot in America, as far as we know, could end up in this Californian home. One thing is certain, the ghost boy upstairs couldn't be Eko. But could he be related to Eko somehow? Only time will tell. What do you think?

It's not the same kid. You guys are just racist, lol.
If not Eko, could it be Eko's brother Yemi? When young Eko went off with the guerillas to warlord training school, maybe Yemi was adopted through the Catholic charity and found his way to a seminary in America before coming back to his native village as a priest (and ultimately getting shot on the drug plane that mysteriously crashed on the island.
Gardner, Gardner Island? or think gardener, think Rose.
I'm just saying.

What's the deal with the frame on that boys photo? It's changed when Miles comes back down!
the picture frame changes,
seems as though the pics in this investigation show that too.
After Miles comes downstairs the frame around the picture changes to a interlace pattern as opposed to a lined frame pattern on his way upstairs,
anything to this?
it is strange there are 3 pics. Def means something. But ecko was a grown man during the crash. Unless that pic has been up for 20 + years, it's not him.
Why does she have the same picture 3 times..
Also the picture on the wall looks like the black guy from smallville.
I definitely think that the story lines between Eko and this young man are interconnected. The heroin and cash in the vents sort of tell the tale. They obviously showed us these sequences for a reason, and I don't believe that it was solely to show that Miles can speak to the dead.
If you go to Googe Images and type in Eko as a boy you will see a screen shot of young Eko holding a gun to someone. In that shot Eko is wearing the same green shirt with a yellow collar as the boy in one of the pictures on that woman's wall. I think it IS Eko.
Maybe if it isn't Eko, then the dead boy has some relationship with Eko. The boy had hidden a lot of money and drugs that have been recurring themes in both Charlie and Eko's storylines. You never know. The flashback was pretty vague, so it can go any way it wants to.
I agree the boys are probably not the same - but perhaps more importantly, the pictures seemed to be prominently placed as to catch our attention.
I think the only reason this flashback was shown was to show us Miles' supernatural powers, that can't be Eko. And I don't think Miles is that scummy, he did give the lady a discount :) LMAO
Perhaphs Ms. Gardner was a member of the Childrens Christian Fund (send them money and they send you pictures of an "adopted child"). Maybe she "adopted" Eko... but I guess that wouldn't explain how there was hidden money and drugs.
Not the same person at all...different eyes, nose, hailine. IMO.
I think it could be the same person, the boy in the photo is a few years younger. Maybe its an alternate life - like what if ecko had been born to a regular family in california, and not to a poverty filled village in africa. or maybe the family "adopted" him (only the price of a cup of coffee) and he sent them photos? the kid who lived in the room was definatly a drug dealer, and Miles is a pretty scummy guy. we need Jay and Grant, the REAL ghost hunters to investigate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree, it probably isn't Eko although i would very much like it is. i liked his character a lot. i will never forget the first image when he and a couple of other survivors eppeared.
lips are different, nose is different, ears are different, hairline is different. They're both black but thats about it. I guarantee boy Eko never played football in full pads!
Honestly, I don't think the boys are the same. Boy Eko's brow bone juts out quite a bit just above his actual eyebrows. The mystery photo boy's brow bone is only slightly above the actual eyebrows. Also mystery boy's lips are quite a bit thinner and longer width wise, than boy Eko's. His lips are very thick indeed.
It is most definitely close though. Perhaps it's meant to look like Eko.
