4x01: They Need You

4x01 They Need You In 4x01, after Hurley's interrogation by Big Mike, something funny happens. As Hurley peers into the one-way window separating the room he is in from the observation room, he has a strange hallucination. Instead of seeing a reflection in the mirror, Hurley sees water. Then, a hooded figure, Charlie, swims up to the glass and stretches out his hand. As he does this, the glass shatters, flooding the room and sending Hurley into a panic. Right before the glass explodes, a message can be seen on Charlie's hand. "They Need You". The same message Charlie later delivers to Hurley in person at the nut-house.

I don't know about that RockonKatie. I mean when Jack went to visit whoever was in the coffin, he had a bears that seems like it was growing for a year or longer. By that time I would think their celebrity status would have worn off. I think Ben as well as Locke, Rose/Bernard and obviously others are still on the island. Maybe it is Sawyer in the coffin and that is why there was no one else visiting.

Another question is why did the other patient at the asylum Hurley is at see Charlie?

Maybe the secret they're keeping is that the 6 are the only ones that survived, and John and whoever followed him are still on the island.

Maybe Hurley has a special connection to the island like John did, (ie Hurley sees Charlie/Jacob?) and will be the one to get them back to the island?

It is Charlie. We're just wondering what the whole meaning of this is. ;)

Writing on the hand, black hoodie, maybe it's Charlie. Charlie visited Hurley at the convenience store and again at the hospital trying to convince him to go back. Why not in a vision?

I don't think it's a good idea to assume that Kate is one of the Oceanic 6. Isn't she still a fugitive? I imagine she would have been apprehended if she had come back in a public way as it seems the Oceanic 6 did.

I don't think that the person in the coffin could be one of the Oceanic 6, whoever they are, because in the flash forwards, people keep referring to the 6 as "celebrities" and such. You would think that if a "celebrity" died, then at least a few people would have shown up to the funeral.

And although it would seem reasonable that no one would show up to a funeral for Ben, or another one of the Others, I don't think any of them can be one of the Oceanic 6, because their names would not be on the plane's manifest.

They need you? Even more puzzling to me is who are the Oceanic 6? And what does Hurley know that Jack was afraid he might say? We know Jack, Kate and now Hurley but who are the other 3? Could whoever was in the coffin last season be one of them? If they end up showing 3 more survivors in flash forwards then maybe it was Ben in the coffin? Damn you lost!!! :)

One of those things that's hard to speculate about at the moment.

We'll have to wait a bit for it all to make more sence.
