What's Hot: 6x05: User Requested Images
A couple users have suggested this could be a "Harley Davidson" tattoo, which is very likely. See comments below.
In 3x12, "Par Avion", we discover that Claire worked at a tattoo and piercing shop in Sydney. When Christian comes to visit her at work, we get a brief glimpse of a sheet containing tattoo patterns on the front of the counter. It appears the top center tattoo is the word "hurley". Probably nothing more than an easter egg for us to find, but perhaps we will see a Hurley-Claire connection down the road?
A promo photo confirms the word ends in "..rley", and the screencap from 3x12 seems to indicate the word starts with "hu....".
Maybe we'll find out sometime later that Claire is sporting the "Hurley" tattoo somewhere on her person. :)

There's a tattoo that says "MOTHER" on it, a nod to the future surely. Also, that's not a crab, it's a scorpion, as in Scorpio. Scorpio's are commonly described as being either lovely or vile, no middle ground.

Dark hair Claire - rebellious, it would seem
And this is far fetched, but... the mermaid... in Disney's The Little Mermaid, Ariel (yes, I know her name), the mermaid, gains the ability to walk at one point during the movie, and then I think she gives up the ability? Could be connected to Locke.
I didn't read all the way thru the posts, but does anyone notice that the name ALEX is in the picture??
This EXACT page of tattoos can be found in any tattoo parlor, complete with the mohawk-man, scorpion, mermaid and the Harley Davidson Skull tat. I've spent enough time checking out the walls while my friends got inked to recognize it. BTW, I agree with Nancy Drew that Claire is much "prettier" as a blond, but she's smokin' hot in black!

Yo, check out the flash on the wall in the bottom right hand corner that says "Alex" with a cancer crab astrological sign above it. Doesn't she dig constellations with her boyfriend?
Harley Davidson for me too, however the 'Alex' tattoo design may prove to be the Easter egg in this particular scene.
The guy in the lower left corner looks like Locke with a mohawk!!
I think Claire is much prettier as a blond. I know it off the topic, but I didn't like the dark hair and dark features on her. Maybe it is the producers doing the light/dark thing to us again. It sounds like Claire was a bit unruly then, and then when she is blond, she "lightened" her ways???
How about "Alex" on the right side of the screen.
I wouldn't read to much into these.
btw, I believe the jargon for sheets of tattoo samples is "flash".

Yeah, you can see in the pic to the left that the word underneath appears to be davidson
yes but underneath 'harley/hurley' (in one of the shots)... the word begins with a 'b'
